I'd like to give a bit of background for this. Proverbs 31:10-31, the description of the ideal wife and mother usually referred to simply as "The Proverbs 31 Woman," is an acrostic. Each consecutive verse begins (or so I've been told) with the next letter of the Hebrew alphabet. I decided to write my own acrostic, using the English alphabet, describing the same woman. ("X" took a little fudging.)

Zion's Daughter

A woman of good character, valuable and rare,
Blesses friends and family with gentle, loving
Care.
Daily rising
Early, she
Fellowships with
God, then prepares her household to run smoothly, as it ought. To her
Husband, she's forgiving; she overlooks his faults.
Instead, she sees the good in him and makes it known to all.
Judging well her options, she buys their needs with care. With
Kindness, she
Loves others. She has wisdom left to spare.
Many great accomplishments are hers to claim with pride, but
None does she dare boast of, gently brushing praise aside. She's
Organized and well-
Prepared; she's
Quiet in her spirit.
Respectful and
Submissive, she
Trusts her mate's decisions. She
Uses her time wisely;
Very rarely is she idle. She dresses
Well, inside and out; her guideline is the Bible.
eXercise is part of life; it keeps her fit and strong. She's
Young at heart at every age.
Zion's Daughter marches on.
